Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records and perform complex account reconciliations.
- Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors and internal management during annual audits.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Compliance: Ensure the company remains compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics is required; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Skills: Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and strong analytical abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to non-financial stakeholders.
