Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed on schedule.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed reporting to management on financial performance.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices and collections.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to ensure a smooth process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings to non-financial stakeholders.
