Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow) in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.
  • Manage and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis to management.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process to ensure a smooth closing cycle.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, including tax filings and regulatory reporting.
  • Review and approve accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and validity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in general accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial analysis techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
