Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process optimization
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and industry-specific regulations for Minnesota and California clients
- Develop and maintain robust financial models for forecasting and budgeting initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making and financial planning
- Mentor junior accountants and implement best practices in financial controls and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate finance teams
- Expertise in GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Excel
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reducing operational risks
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and cross-functional collaboration
