Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and fixed assets.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely and accurate filing.
- Perform variance analysis and financial forecasting to support senior management decision-making.
- Review and approve accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants during annual audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Deep understanding of US GAAP and current tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
