Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the daily financial operations and ensure accurate recording of all transactions in the general ledger.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation of all invoices and payments.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns; ensure all tax filings are accurate and timely.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and internal teams to provide necessary documentation and support for annual audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency within the finance department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Certification: CPA certification is highly desirable.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Oracle NetSuite.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
