Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, including GAAP and internal policies.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and working closely with external auditors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
