The Role:
We are looking for a dedicated professional to manage the full lifecycle of financial reporting and ensure adherence to UK GAAP standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Oversee the monthly closing process, ensuring accurate reconciliation of balance sheet and P&L accounts.
- Manage VAT returns and corporate tax filings in collaboration with external advisors.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to the Finance Director.
- Lead the annual audit process, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Maintain internal controls and improve financial process efficiency.
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience in a UK corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (Sage, Xero, or NetSuite).
- Excellent knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
