Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and ensure the integrity of all financial data.
- Lead the annual audit process, coordinating effectively with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely processing and accurate reporting.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights that support strategic business decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance staff.
