Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Assist in the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support strategic business decisions.
- Review and approve journal entries to ensure accuracy and validity.
- Streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly preferred but not required for immediate consideration.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
