Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire month-end and year-end close process, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and delivered on time.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all vendor and client invoices are processed accurately and reconciled daily.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies, conducting regular audits of financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and manage tax filings.
- Collaborate with the external audit team and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Streamline accounting workflows and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve complex accounting issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
