Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger accounting function, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- Reconciliation: Perform detailed bank and credit card reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the accounting department to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal and state regulations, including tax filings and audits.
- Support: Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing variance analysis and historical trend data.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
