Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- General Ledger: Manage general ledger accounts, perform month-end and year-end close procedures, and ensure all reconciliations are completed accurately and timely.
- Compliance: Ensure the company remains compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including filing required reports.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for greater efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team, auditors, and department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Vendor Management: Review and process invoices, verify expenses, and manage vendor relationships.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a significant plus.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of US GAAP and tax compliance requirements.
