Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements in strict adherence to GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Lead the monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Perform in-depth account reconciliations and variance analysis to identify trends and risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Assist in the external audit process, coordinating with auditors and managing audit documentation.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal control policies.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to create financial models and automate reporting tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to company policies.
