Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciling general ledger accounts and bank statements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support external audits with required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal control policies.
- Collaborate with department heads to prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Deep understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal control frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
