Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, on a monthly basis.
- Perform complex account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and support external audits.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
