Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, month-end, and year-end close procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile bank accounts and generate financial reports for management review.
- Conduct internal audits and improve internal controls to mitigate risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
