Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings, including quarterly estimates and annual returns.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct internal audits of financial records and recommend improvements to internal controls.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights, budget forecasting, and cost management analysis.
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and support the month-end and year-end close processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
