Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions.
- Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring all invoices are processed correctly and payments are made on time.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
