Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles to ensure timely processing.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audit schedules and support external auditors during the review process.
- Contribute to the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes for the organization.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification is strongly preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
