As the Senior Accountant, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insights for stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict adherence to GAAP.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and timely.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
- Compliance: Ensure the company remains compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Certification: CPA certification is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial management.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and ensure high data integrity.
