Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial data.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist in external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the month-end payroll process, ensuring accurate calculations and timely distribution.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements.
