Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Bookkeeping: Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed correctly.
- Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Payroll Support: Collaborate with payroll vendors to ensure accurate salary and tax processing for all employees.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Software: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a remote environment.
