Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting workflows and reporting.
- Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during annual audits, providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights to management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree (CPA) preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
