Responsibilities
- Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Perform complex general ledger reconciliations and identify variances.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and provide recommendations for process improvement.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and audit procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
