Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive Senior Accountant to oversee our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our reporting processes. If you are a numbers person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions and ensure the accurate recording of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, performing monthly reconciliations for bank statements and credit cards.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal and regulatory requirements.
- Process payroll accurately and assist with year-end tax filings.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and improve financial processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience (required).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) (required).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
