Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform complex reconciliations for general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card statements.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end tax packages and external audit schedules.
- Analyze financial data to produce reports that help management understand, interpret, and act on business trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
- Mentor junior staff and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, or QuickBooks).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet strict deadlines.
