Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and file accurate VAT returns and corporate tax computations in compliance with UK HMRC regulations.
- Perform monthly and year-end reconciliations for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Utilize cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) to ensure real-time financial visibility.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts for senior review.
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide ad-hoc financial advice and support to clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or part-qualified (AAT Level 4) Accountant with strong experience.
- Proven track record of working within a UK-based accounting firm or corporate finance environment.
- Deep understanding of UK GAAP and tax legislation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and cloud accounting platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- UK work authorization and right to work in the UK.
