Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely settlements.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and financial requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and recommend process improvements for efficiency.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals during fiscal year-end.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA certification or active pursuit thereof is highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
