Responsibilities
- Prepare and examine monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow analyses.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurate and timely.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist with federal and state tax preparation, filings, and compliance audits.
- Generate detailed financial reports for management to support business decision-making.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal control policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of tax laws, financial regulations, and GAAP standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
