Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and reconcile bank accounts with precision
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and California state financial regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Implement and optimize internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Lead special projects related to process automation and financial system enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record of managing full-cycle accounting operations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and California regulations
