Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Account Reconciliation: Manage the daily reconciliation of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card transactions to ensure data integrity.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in the processing of payroll functions, ensuring accurate deductions and timely disbursement for all employees.
- Compliance & Auditing: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, preparing necessary filings and supporting external audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting department to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Vendor Management: Review and process invoices, ensuring proper approval workflows and timely payments.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and resolve complex financial issues.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
