Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets, ensuring full accuracy.
- Manage end-to-end month-end and year-end closing processes, adhering to UK GAAP standards.
- Handle VAT returns and ensure timely submission to HMRC.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.
- Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate compensation processing.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the UK market.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT (or equivalent experience).
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
