Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax preparers during year-end audits.
- Process journal entries, maintain accurate financial records, and reconcile bank statements.
- Mentor junior staff members and provide training on accounting procedures and software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.
