Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize cash flow management
- Prepare detailed financial statements and variance analysis for executive leadership
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes while collaborating with department heads
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals during annual reviews
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
- Experience with daily pay processing systems a major plus
