Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including AP/AR, GL reconciliations, and month-end closings
- Prepare financial statements and compliance documentation for 15+ clients
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks, Xero)
- Conduct financial analysis and variance reporting for executive stakeholders
- Maintain strict compliance with GAAP and industry regulations
- Lead cross-departmental financial strategy sessions
- Mentor junior accounting staff on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Excel
- Proven track record with multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with construction or healthcare accounting a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
