Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Conduct financial audits and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and monitor budget variances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
