Job Overview
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the general ledger and perform month-end and year-end close procedures efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and local business tax filings.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal processes and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
- CPA certification is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
