Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger activities, including account reconciliation and journal entries.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and internal controls reviews to safeguard company assets.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting support to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification is highly desired but not strictly required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
