Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end closings, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process optimization
- Prepare and submit accurate tax filings while ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external auditor engagements
- Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide expert guidance on complex financial matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite
- Proven track record of managing complex financial operations and reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder collaboration
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audit procedures
