Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance analysis
- Manage general ledger operations and month-end closing processes
- Coordinate internal and external audits while ensuring SOX compliance
- Develop financial models for budget forecasting and strategic planning
- Lead accounts payable/receivable optimization initiatives
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks/Oracle)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Proven track record of process optimization projects
