In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing complex financial statements, and ensuring strict compliance with local and federal regulations. You will work closely with department heads to provide actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and prepare detailed monthly variance analyses.
- Assist with the annual external audit process and coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth process.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasting activities for the upcoming fiscal year.
- Review and reconcile intercompany transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel functions and Pivot Tables.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of U.S. tax laws and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail.
