As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing our daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting the management team with critical financial insights.
Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the daily accounting operations, including the reconciliation of bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely vendor payments, and oversee accounts receivable to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Cost Accounting: Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, analyzing variances, and providing recommendations to management to improve profitability.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by maintaining accurate records and filing necessary reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong background in full-cycle accounting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
