Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely vendor/client payments
- Prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for departmental leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and industry-specific financial standards
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve financial systems and reporting efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (Sage 100 a plus)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams and cross-departmental projects
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
