Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the monthly payroll process, ensuring all calculations are accurate and timely.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Budgeting: Assist in the annual budget preparation and perform variance analysis to help drive business decisions.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot financial discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
