Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable workflows.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and assist department heads with forecasting.
- Perform internal audits and compliance checks to mitigate financial risk.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns accurately.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
