Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage month-end/year-end closing processes and reconciliations
- Lead tax preparation and planning for corporate clients
- Implement and optimize accounting systems and internal controls
- Provide strategic financial consulting to senior management
- Supervise junior accounting staff and review deliverables
- Conduct audits and compliance reviews for regulated industries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience
- Expertise in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of Illinois tax regulations and compliance
- Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements
