Responsibilities
- Manage complex month-end close processes and reconcile GL accounts across multiple entities
- Lead financial statement preparation and analysis for executive stakeholders
- Oversee tax compliance and reporting including federal, state, and local filings
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process optimization projects
- Conduct ad-hoc financial modeling and variance analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (MBA preferred); CPA required
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with macros
- Deep expertise in GAAP, SOX, and multi-state tax compliance
- Proven track record of process improvement and system implementations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
