Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensure all journal entries are accurate, and perform necessary reconciliations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and assist with external and internal audits.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets, monitor variances, and provide financial forecasting.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the full cycle of A/P and A/R operations, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
