Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes for 15-20 clients including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) adhering to GAAP standards
- Lead tax compliance initiatives including sales tax filings and quarterly estimated tax payments
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Sage 50)
- Collaborate with CFOs on financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance documentation
- Mentor junior accountants on technical accounting principles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with Big 4 or regional firm
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and QuickBooks Online
- Proven expertise in multi-state tax compliance and audit procedures
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written/verbal communication and client relationship management
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
